Michal and Maciej already on Sardegna
The leaders of JWRC, Michal Kosciuszko and Maciek Szczepaniak are going to start in Rally d’Italia Sardegna on Friday, 22nd May. That will be the sixth World Rally Championship round, and the fourth for the polish team. Michal and Maciek have been on the island since Monday and with Suzuki Sport Europe team they are testing the car. Michal is very glad after the first tests -“ The tests are going on very well, the results achieved are exactly what we expected. The atmosphere in the team is great, we are ready to fight to the next points!”
This year Rally d’Italia Sardegna is going to be an area of 9 JWRC teams’ fight. Michal and Maciek are going to defend their last year’s victory – “Last year, after a very flush fight we won here in JWRC classification. This year I would love to repeat that result and take 10 points with me again from Italy. The roads on Sardegna are very insidious, a lot of hardly seen turns and huge stones lying along the way make you drive really precisely.” - Michal says.
Rally d’Italia Sardegna has been into WRC calendar Since 2004 and etery year it is very popular among motorsport fans. During three days the competitors are going to ride 1 263,20 km with 17 special stages having 347,12 km altogether.
