Michal is the winner of the Rally de Portugal!

The only polish team in the World Rally Championship, Michal Kosciuszko and Maciek Szczepaniak has won the third JWRC 2009 round – Rally the Portugal. The Poles have won half of the 18 special stages, being the leaders during all the rally.

- I am very happy because of the winning. We were the leaders from the beggining until the finish. Due to thatm now we are the leaders in the general clasiffication ex aequo with Martin Prokop. That brings us closer to the final success in the JWRC cycle. - Kosciuszko said. Winning in Portugal is the second winning of the polish team in the World Rally Championship – last year Michal and Maciek won Rally de Sardegna, being the first Poles that have ever won in the World Rally Championship.

- We had an over six-minutes lead to Kevin Abbring so we did not drive with our maximum speed, but that makes it even more difficult to be concentrated all the time. But now we are just happy and think about the next rally in Argentina. – Kosciuszko said and added - We would like to greet all the polish fans – those who were here with us and those in Poland. .
